WELCOME
A place to worship God, and meet your neighbour
For more than 160 years, Sand Hill Presbyterian Church has been a place where people come together to worship God, study Scripture, pray, share music, and enjoy the gift of community. We are a warm and welcoming rural congregation where people of all ages are invited to belong, families are celebrated, and neighbours become friends.
With a love of worship, music, fellowship, and service, we seek to be a place where faith grows, relationships flourish, and everyone has a place at the table.

ABOUT US
A place to belong
While we believe that the whole world is God’s sanctuary, there is something special about having a place to gather each week—to worship, sing, pray, listen, and simply be together. Our ancestors understood this when they laid the first stone on Sand Hill Road more than 160 years ago.
Generations later, Sand Hill remains a place where neighbours gather, friendships grow, and faith is nurtured. Come and discover the peace and joy of worship and community in our historic rural setting, just a short drive from downtown Kingston. There is always a place for you here.
Sand Hill Presbyterian is part of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper four times each year, and all are welcome at Christ’s Table.
Our Team
The Rev. Julielee Clarke serves the congregation of Sand Hill, and its sister church, St. John’s Presbyterian on Middle Road. Julielee has an undergraduate and master’s degree in journalism, and completed her Master of Divinity at Presbyterian College in Montreal, Que. She was ordained in 2025. In addition to loving what she does, Julielee has a deep appreciation for rural spaces and agriculture, podcasts, and quality coffee… and television!
Karen Curtis is our dedicated organist, and amateur dog trainer! Karen leads our musical ministry at Sand Hill. Under her leadership, People’s Choice was introduced the first Sunday of each month. As part of this, people in the church call out the hymn they would like to sing, and we do!
According to Presbyterian Polity, the Church is served by five elders: Lucy Curtis, Dudley Shannon, Barb Best, Samuel Nuttall, and Mike Mundell.
